组织惯性对企业渐进性创新能力影响研究

The Impact of Organizational Inertia on Incremental Innovation Capability

在产业技术发展的不同阶段,企业在创新网络中的惯性行为究竟如何影响其创新能力的发展,尤其是如何作用于渐进性创新能力已经成为学术界和产业界关注的热点。基于开放式创新视角,以智能手机产业为研究对象,通过对该产业2000—2014年间主要企业间的专利引用数据进行专利网络分析和层次回归分析,探讨不同技术发展阶段企业惯性行为对其渐进性创新能力的影响。结果表明:(1)企业渐进性创新能力主要受其在创新网络中开放度水平的直接影响,组织惯性通过调节二者关系间接影响渐进性创新能力;(2)在产业技术发展的萌芽期,仅结构惯性正向调节企业创新开放度对其渐进性创新能力的影响;(3)在产业技术发展的涌现期,组织惯性的调节作用消失;(4)在产业技术发展的稳定期,结构惯性正向调节企业开放度对渐进性创新能力的影响,认知惯性负向调节开放度对渐进性创新能力的影响。

Academic and practical scholars have increasingly paid attention to the effect of inertia on firm＇s innovation capability, especially incremental innovation capability during different stages of industrial technology development. Based on the patent citation networks of main firms in the field of smart phone industry during 2000-- 2014, we analyze the evolution of patent citation network and employ hierarchical regression models to explore the impact of organizational inertia on radical innovation capability in different stages from a open innovation perspective. The results show that, （1） Openness has a directly impact on incremental innovation capability, and the organizational inertia moderates the relationship between openness and incremental innovation capability; （2） In the incubation stage of technology, structural inertia positively moderates the relationship between openness and incremental innovation capability; （3） In the growth stage of technology, the moderating effects of inertia do not exist; （4） In the stable stage of technology, structural inertia positively moderate the relationship between openness and incremental innovation capability, cognitive inertia negatively moderate the relationship between openness and incremental innovation capability
