Born in the 1980's, female managing partner-Wu Haiyan is still a "minority" in today's200,000 VC investment circle. However, she does not particularly like the label "female". If there is anything special about female entrepreneurs, she says, it must be that there's less of a "grey area",as they "prefer more judgment characterized by ones and zeros, black or white."In fact, she is a "hypercritical" person. Compared to many top VC leaders, Wu Haiyan still visits the front-lines of projects frequently, and there are at least a few thousand in a year-although far fewer than in 2014 and 2015. She worries about the objectiveness of merely relying on secondhand information if she cannot communicate directly with companies, and then how can one discuss and make the right decision quickly and effectively with the team?
