Emoji,as a kind of nonverbal sign of online communication,has become increasingly active and been a new internet cultural phenomenon. The rising reason of emoji is analyzed from three aspects-content,subject and technology,with the methods of industrial observation and theoretical analysis. Then emoji＇s characteristics and developing trends are summarized in five aspects,including the carnivalization and jocosity in spirit,the hot topic and defamiliarization in material,dynamism and image-text in form,segmentation and self-made mode in production and platformization and industrialization in marketing.
