Problems and Countermeasures of the Guanling cattle Conservation and Selection

关岭牛分布于我国西南腹地的贵州省,独特的自然条件形成了关岭牛独特的品种特性。近年来,关岭牛有众多优点渐渐被人们所重视,当地政府也大力支持养牛产业发展,这为关岭牛的发展带来了机会,同时,也为其品种保护和选育改良带来了问题与挑战。本文就关岭牛的种质资源保护与肉用选育改良的现状和问题展开论述,进一步探讨了关岭牛的发展过程中所遇到的困难与机遇,为关岭牛的发展提出一些方法及展望。

Guanling cattle distributed in Guizhou province, southwest of China. The unique natural conditions formed the unique characteristics of Guanling cattle. In recent years, owing to its many advan- tages, Guanling cattle were gradually paid attention, and the local government also strongly supported the development of cattle industry. It brings opportunities for the development of Guanling cattle. However, in the meanwhile, it also brings problems and challenges for the protection and improvement of breed. This article discussed the current situation of Guanling cattle, and introduced the protection and improve- ment of Guanling cattle. The difficulties and opportunities encountered in the development of Guanling cattle are further discussed. Last but not least, some methods and prospects for the development of guan- ling cattle were also proposed.
