摘要
尽管《察世俗每月统记传》的现代报纸特征并不突出,但因其实现了读者对象的大众化、风格的通俗化,并以"新知"为主要传播内容,故对其后中国近代报刊的发展产生影响。在与中国古代报纸与近代报纸的前后对照中,可见"察世俗"的上述特征和作用。这些"近代化"因素也使确定《察世俗每月统记传》为近代报纸和近代新闻事业开端的理由更为充分。
This paper will discuss what are the modernization characteristics of Chinese Monthly Magazine. It shows because the magazine began to face the ordinary people in stead of officials,use vernacular in stead of written language, and communicate ＂new knowledge＂ against confucianism monopoly, it changed the way of ancient newspaper in china, and made an impact on the development of Chinese modern newspapers. Based on the changes it had made, the magazine can be called ＂the beginning of Chinese modern journalism＂.
