摘要
本文以明治、大正时期49位日本来华报人的身份背景和从业经历为切入点,尝试分析他们作为一个职业群体的独特精神特质以及这些特质的成因。在特殊的历史背景下,具有"士族精神"的早期来华报人,游离于官僚系统之外,又和政界有着千丝万缕的联系;有独立的理想情怀和多样化的言论,却自觉或不自觉地沦为侵华舆论政策的执行者;曾尝试企业化经营,却始终离不开日本政府的资助,最终也无法摆脱其控制;他们熟悉中国文化,执着于新闻事业,这些特点在新一代报人中都逐渐淡去。
This papergives a brief introduction tothe characteristics of 49 Japanese journalists in Chinadur- ing the Meijiand Taisho age, tries to explore their unique spiritual world and role in modern Chinese history as a professional group. The author supposes that their characteristics are reflected in four aspects = these early Jap- anese newspapermen are born in a class of samurai whose "noble spirit"maintained them a distance from bureau- cratic system buthad enthusiam inpolitics; They once were independent--minded, but became an instrument of Japan' sdiplomatic policies consciously or unconsciously; They tried to make their newspapersself-supporting and struggled for the freedom of speech, but cannot get rid of the controlfromJapanese government. Theirjournalism ideality and familiarity of Chinese culture were gradually fading awayin successive generation who was born in Japanese bureaucratic system.
