The value orientation of teacher education is the key problem that the teacher education must first clear. The value orientation of teacher education has appeared several representative points in history. They have different opinions about the quality of teacher education and what kind of teachers should be trained. The teacher education of knowledge standard orientation focuses on the importance of knowledge in teachers' professional quality. The teacher education of ability standard orientation focuses on the training of teachers' abilities. The teacher education of critical orientation advocates that teachers should bear the responsibility of reforming society. The teacher education of humanistic orientation focuses on the object of teacher education, and pays attention to the cultivation of teachers' ability to develop independently. With the development of the times and education, the value orientation of teacher education will eventually merge.
