Through the analysis of the female images in Chinese film making,it fully affirmed the great progress made by a large number of movies in the new period in the portrayal of female images,and especially affirmed the great contribution of the new director Xu Jinglei to the female movies creation.It points out the influences and fetters of historical and cultural backgrounds on the shaping of female images in different periods.It highlights that Xu Jinglei＇s movies abandon the fetters of the female images in the traditional literary creation,which is a rejection of the iconic era that once prevailed and a rigid writing habit of graphic concepts.
