Summary on Clinical Application of Classical Prescription Baihu Decoction

对近年来白虎汤的临床应用及适应症进行概述。白虎汤为《伤寒论》经方,其清热生津,主治外感热病,包括各种温病气分热盛之证。现代研究发现白虎汤及其加减制剂对于抗炎、镇痛、增强免疫、降脂降糖及治疗痛风具有很好的疗效,常用于急性传染病等的治疗。随着疾病种类的不断变化,白虎汤的应用越来越广泛,医者应明确原方的主导地位,根据患者病证适当加减药物,更好的发挥其医疗价值。

To summarize the literature of recent years on clinical application and indications of Baihu Decoction. Classical prescription Baihu Decoction was from Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Disease. Baihu Decoction could clear heat and promote fluid production and it was mainly used for treating heat disease,including various excessive heat of Qi aspect syndrome of warm disease. Modern studies showed that Baihu Decoction was effective in anti-inflammatory,analgesia,enhancing immunity,lipid and blood glucose-lowering,and gout. It was usually used for treatment of acute infectious disease. With the constantly changing of disease types,Baihu Decoction will be applied more and more extensively. The leading role of original formula should be ensured,and the formula should be modified according to disease and syndromes of patients,in order to play a better role in medical care.
