摘要
本文研究的是湖北某二本院校医学专业大二学生医学英语课程的学习情况。通过问卷,访谈发现学生的学习效率低下、学习兴趣不高,除了反映教材太难、内容枯燥以外,现行的单一教学模式也颇受诟病。基于多模态理论,运用问卷、测试、独立样本t检验等研究方法对多模态教学模式在医学英语教学中的影响进行了为期一学期的研究。研究结果表明:多模态教学模式对医学英语教学有积极的作用,学生的学习成绩提高达到了显著水平。
The paper focuses on the teaching and learning of the ESP course, Medical English, by the juniors from the medical department of a university in moderate level. By carrying out questionnaire and interview, some problems have been found out, such as low efficiency of learning, low interests in the course because of the boring contents, great difficulty of learning the textbook as well as the single boring teaching mode. Based on multimodality theory, the research has accomplished an empirical experiment lasting for one semester to look at the influences that muhimodality teaching mode has on the Medical English teaching and learning through the following research methods, including questionnaire, test, and independent-samples T test. The results show that the multimodality teaching method is positive to Medical English teaching and learning, for there are obvious improvements on students' studying in the test.
