摘要
本研究对比了以翻译为基础的传统教学法和以意象图式理论为基础的认知教学法对英语短语动词习得的作用,探讨了意象图式理论对英语短语动词习得的影响。研究结果表明,以意象图式为基础的认知教学法优于以翻译为基础的传统教学法。意象图式理论对英语短语动词教学具有明显的促进作用。
This study investigates the effects of the image schema theory on the acquisition of English phrasal verbs by comparing the effectiveness of two types of instruction, namely, the translation-based instruction and the image-schema-based instruction on phrasal verbs. The results show that students from the image-schema-based instruction group have performed much better than students from the translation-based instruction group. This study has proved that the image schema theory can serve as an effective device in teaching English phrasal verbs.
