In US presidential election of 2016,the Republican candidate Donald Trump defeated the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton unexpectedly. The causes are manifold. The economic factor might be the fact that the globalization caused constant hemorrhaging of American manufacturing jobs, which turned quite a number of bluecollar workers from middle class into the unemployed, whom are called Angry Whites. This phenomenon is particularly common in traditional manufacturing areas which are called Rust Belt. The Angry Whites might be the key that helped Trump beat Hillary by a neck in several states of the Rust Belt and then won the US presidential election. However,Trump's election slogan "Let manufacturing back to US"might be hard to practice,so the Angry Whites might be unlikely to benefit from Trump's win.
