With the development of domestic economy,the new normal characteristics become more obvious,the Belt and Road Initiative and the Yangtze River Economic Zone and other new regional development strategies have stepped into depth,Chengdu as the biggest central city in west China is planning to build the National Central City development strategy. With the help of SWOT analysis,the paper analyzes the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats in constructing the National Central City in Chengdu. Based on the practice of Chengdu and around the latest development of the strategic layout,Chengdu should focus on building a regional innovation and entrepreneurship center with international influence,building an open sharing economic system,building a city which is livable and suitable for industry,employment and entrepreneurship and forming a horizontal and vertical dislocation development pattern.
