托福考试对我国英语教学和考试改革的启示

Enlightenment of TOEFL for English Teaching and Testing Reform in China's Mainland

托福考试的信度和效度世界认可。近年来,我国每年三四万考生参加托福考试,考生中有学生也有企业职工,托福考试还催生出众多的考试培训机构。为满足各利益相关者对英语学习的需要,借鉴托福考试的一些理念和做法,我国英语教学改革可从分类教学、创新管理,结合学术、注重应用等方面入手,而英语考试改革则可以从考试形式和考试内容两方面入手。

The reliability and validity of TOEFL are recognized around the world. In recent years,thirty or fortythous and candidates take TOEFL in China every year. There are students and employees in the candidates. Theexamination also gives birth to many examination training institutions. In order to meet the various needs ofEnglish learners,the English teaching of China's Mainland can be reformed,with reference to some concepts andpractice of TOEFL,from the following respects： classified teaching,innovative management,academically-integrated and application-focused teaching. The English language testing can be reformed from the aspects oftest forms and content.
