由于具备轻量化和比强度高的特性,镁在电子设备和汽车配件上的应用备受关注,韩国浦项制铁公司已经将镁作为非钢业务的重点之一。为了成为综合材料生产企业,浦项制铁将钢铁生产积累的技术诀窍应用于镁锭和镁板材的生产,该公司主导的《超轻量汽车镁材研发项目》也是韩国政府世界一流材料项目的重要组成部分,目标是为汽车轻量化开发全新的镁产品,在降低碳排放、提高能效的同时,确保镁材的价格竞争力。
With magnesium gaining increasing attention as materials used in electronic device and automotive part due to their properties such as lightness and high strength-bto-bweight ratio,POSCO pushes its Mg businesses as a key part of its nonbsteel portfolio. In order to become a comprehensive materials producer,POSCO produces magnesium ingot and sheet product with good quality based on the high technology and knowhow accumulated from steel business. As an important part of the World Premier Materials( WPM) project supported by the Korean government,《Mg Material R&D Project for Super-blight Vehicle》is also led by POSCO,which aims to develop new magnesium products for vehicle weight reduction,lowering carbon dioxide emission and increasing energy efficiency in vehicles,meanwhile maintaining the price competitiveness.
