摘要
本文运用语步分析模型和介入系统模型对比分析英汉地学论文引言的语篇模式和介入资源分布状况,考察英汉学术论文引言在宏观语篇模式和微观介入资源特征方面的异同,阐述跨语言学术交际的主体间性。研究发现:1)相较于汉语引言,英语引言的语步2(确立研究地位)使用频率更高,且更加重视通过语阶模式指出前人研究的不足和对研究成果的"营销";2)相较于汉语引言,英语引言更多使用否定资源、引发资源和中性资源,以凸显研究价值并扩展与潜在读者的对话空间;3)否定资源在汉语引言里主要分布在语步2中,但它在英语引言的语步1中分布也很明显。
Using Swales' (1990, 2004) CARS model and Martin & White' s (2005) ENGAGEMENT framework, we have compared the discourse structures and the engagement resources in English and Chinese research article introductions (RAIs) in the field of geology, expounding on the inter-subjectivity of cross-language academic communications. Our findings are : 1 ) Move 2 (Establishing a niche) is more frequently employed in English RAIs than in Chinese RAIs, and more steps are employed in English RAIs to indicate the research gap and promote the "marketization" of the principal findings; 2) deny, entertain and acknowledge resources are more frequently used in English RAIs than in Chinese RAIs in order to highlight the value of their research and open up the dialogic space for putative readers; 3 ) deny resources in Chinese RAIs are mainly distributed in Move 2, while in English RAIs, they are also abundant in Move 1.
