功能对等视角下汉英国际新闻编译探析——以《中国日报》中的政治语篇为例

Adaptation Strategies on Translating World News of Chinese and English from the Perspective of Functional Equivalence Theory

本文以美国语言学家尤金·奈达的功能对等理论为框架,以近期《中国日报》(China Daily)中的汉英政治新闻语篇为例,从信息类型、译者目的、受众类型三个角度来探讨汉英国际政治新闻编译在文化层面、语言结构层面、交际层面的具体编译策略和方法,以求得最贴切自然的对等,旨在为以后的汉英国际新闻编译实践提供借鉴。

Under the guidance of American linguist Eugene Nida＇ s Functional Equivalence Theory, this thesis mainly explores some specific Chinese and English adaptation strategies of political news respectively from cultural equivalence, linguistic structural equivalence and communicative equivalence. The author attempts to find adaptation strategies and methods according to some typical C-E adaption examples of political news selected from China Daily, considering the three factors of FE Theory： the type of information, the purpose of the translator and the audience, so as to achieve the closest natural equivalence. This study will hopefully provide reference for future C-E adaptation of political news.
