唐娜·塔特的《金翅雀》用感人至深、细腻触人的笔调展示了主人公西奥多丰富的内心世界和成长经历,反映了美国当代人所遇到的困顿。本文从柏格森双重自我理论的角度分析了西奥多卸下心理重担,重获自由的成长之路。通过分析西奥多在生活和爱情中双重自我的挣扎,说明了只有在深层自我战胜表层自我后才能获得真正的自由和重生。
The Goldfinch written by Donna Tart reveals the inner world and the growth of Theodore in a touching and delicate way, and reflects the spiritual difficulties of the contemporary American society. This paper analyzes Theodore' s way to the rebirth and freedom by relieving the mental burdens from the perspective of Bergson' s dual selves. Through an analysis of the struggles between Theodore' s dual selves in his life and love, the author makes it clear that only after the durational self defeats the shadow self can a oerson eniov the freedom and rebirth.
