摘要
基因组是生物遗传信息的集合,开展生物基因组遗传信息的研究工作,将极大促进生物学的发展,探索生命的奥秘。近年来,DNA测序技术得到了突飞猛进的发展,以第二代测序技术(Next generation sequencing)为依托的DNA序列读取技术,具有高通量、低成本的特点。第二代测序技术在动物科学中的运用,对于阐释和掌握动物生长发育、遗传变异、繁殖和消化代谢等生命规律发挥了重要的作用。随着测序技术的发展,第三代测序技术(单分子测序技术)全面应用,将进一步推动动物科学的飞速发展。
Genome contains all the genetic information of organisms, it has a very important practical significance to obtain the entire sequence of the organism genome for biological research and explore life's mysteries. DNA sequencing technology has been developed rapidly in recent years. As the emergence of Next Generation sequencing technology, its characteristics of high throughput and low cost was presented in genomics research. Next Generation sequencing can offer the most authentic and reliable information in animal science and play a very important role in understanding and mastering of animal genetic variation, growth and development, reproduction, digestion and metabolism and others. As the development of DNA sequencing technology, third generation sequencing will be widely used in genomics to facilitate the research process of animal science.
