Oil and lipid are a kind of multi-purpose drug carriers with good biocompatibility and low toxicity. At present, the most common application of oil and lipid is a new drug delivery system such as nanoemulsion, solid lipid nanoparticles, nanostructured lipid carriers, ointment transdermal preparation, liposome and phospholipid complex, which can effectively play its advantages in improving the bioavailability of insoluble drugs, controlling drug release and targeting. The latest researches on the application of oil and lipid in pharmaceutical preparations were systematically summarized.
