This paper expounds the contents of constructing the characteristic database of Zhang Xueliang of Northeastern University library, mainly including the following parts： literature bibliography collections, microfilms articles and other internet information resources collections. The article also probes into the problems of the construction of the characteristic database in university libraries, in order to provide an empirical reference for self-built characteristic database of university libraries.
