The Establishment of Xi Jinping's Status as the Core of Leadership:A Solemn Choice of the Communist Party of China

杰出人物在历史进步中起重要作用,无产阶级革命斗争造就伟大人物,无产阶级革命斗争中产生的杰出人物对社会进步所起的作用则更加重要。要有一个核心,这是中国共产党历史经验的凝结,也是中国共产党的传统和优势。越是在关键历史时期,越需要坚强有力的领导核心,需要引领时代潮流的领袖人物,共产党越需要一个思想上、政治上的"主心骨",确立自己新的领导核心,从而形成一种强大的政治定力。在新的历史节点上中国共产党新的伟大实践,呼唤着中国共产党必须产生新的领导核心。习近平总书记在新的伟大斗争实践中,事实上已经成为全党和全国人民公认的党中央的核心、全党的核心。以习近平为全党核心是中国共产党的郑重选择。

Outstanding personalities play important roles in promoting the progress of history. The proletariat revolutionary struggle created great personalities, and they in turn pushed forward the progress of the society. Hav- ing a leadership core is an important experience the CPC has gained in the course of its development, and also its tradition and strength. In critical historic periods, a strong and powerful core of leadership is especially needed to lead the tides of the times, serve as the ideological and political ＂pillar＂ of the Party. A new leadership core should be established and hence constitutes a strong political commitment. The great practice of the Party under the new circumstances calls for a new leadership core, and comrade Xi Jinping has, in fact, already been recognized by the Party and the people as the core of the CPC Central Committee and the entire Party as well. Therefore, setting Xi as the core of leadership is a solemn choice of the Communist Party of China.
