Based on theory of elastic mechanics,a triple-layered cylinder model was conducted.A theoretical solution of corroded expansion force,rust layer thickness and corrosion rate was proposed at the concrete cover cracking moment.The influence of stirrup spacing and sectional area to corroded expansion force at the concrete cover cracking moment was conducted by analyzing the main factors of the model.The analytical model is then investigated through its ability to available experimental trends.Reasonably good agreement between the analytical results and experimental data has been obtained.
