On the Historic Contribution of the 2nd CPC National Congress to "Strict Party Building"

中共二大召开之时,党员的人数不多,党的组织也才刚刚开始建立,但党对自身建设的要求却具有示范意义。如中共二大明确了党的性质和奋斗目标,规定了严格的入党程序,严明了党的各项纪律,规定了党的组织原则,阐明了党和人民群众的关系。这些规定为党由小变大、由弱变强,不断发展壮大,取得一个又一个胜利奠定了良好的基础。正是在这个意义上,党的二大对"从严建党"做出了历史性贡献。研究和探讨中共二大对"从严建党"要求的历史性贡献,对于我们以改革创新精神全面推进党的建设新的伟大工程和认真贯彻落实"全面从严治党"的新要求,不断提高党的建设的科学化水平无疑具有十分重要的理论意义和现实指导意义。

Upon the convening of the 2 nd National Congress of the CPC,the Party had only a small number of members as it just begun to build up its organization. However,the demand raised by the 2 nd National Congress of the Party for its own building set an important precedent. For instance,the National Congress clarified the nature and goals of the Party,stipulated strict admission procedures and various strict disciplines,laid down its organizational principle,and defined its relationship with the masses of people. These rules and stipulations laid foundation for the Party to grow steadily from small to large,from weak to strong. In this sense,credit should be given to the2 nd CPC National Congress for its historical contribution to ＂ strict Party building＂. Therefore,studies on the topic is of important theoretical and practical significance for advancing the great undertaking of Party building in the spirit of reform and innovation and implement the new demand for ＂ comprehensive and strict self-governance＂,upgrading the benchmark for Party building.
