人民代表大会制度是我国的根本政治制度,是全面推进依法治国,建设社会主义法治国家的依托和主渠道,地方人大在民主法治建设和全面推进依法治国中具有独特的优势,担负着不可替代的重要职责。地方人大要加强自身建设,充分发挥在立法、监督工作中的作用,强化人大主体意识,发挥人大制度优势,积极探索,勇于担当,为实现"建设中国特色社会主义法治体系,建设社会主义法治国家"的依法治国总目标做出应有的贡献。

As China's fundamental political system,the people's congress system plays a key role in promoting the rule of law and building a socialist country ruled by law. Local people's congresses boast unique advantages in advancing democracy and rule of law and pushing forward governance in accordance with the law in an all-round way. To better fulfill their irreplaceable duties and functions,local people's congresses should strengthen their internal construction,give full play to their role and advantage in legislative and supervisory work,enhance institutional building,and work vigorously to achieve the overall goal of building a socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics and building a socialist country ruled by law.
