他山之石可以攻玉——发达国家国防教育的启示

The stones of those hills may be used to polish gems ——the beneficial lessons from developed countries on national military education

《司马法》曰:"天下虽安,忘战必危。"哪怕处在如今的和平年代,建设强大的军事力量也是每个国家的重中之重。作为祖国最有力的后备力量,加强对青年的国防教育更是教育工作诸多内容中重要的一项。在发达国家,以美国、俄罗斯、英国为例,对青年开展军训的传统由来已久,其成功的经验也被各国所借鉴。如今,中国跻身世界大国行列,完善国防教育体制,更需从各个发达国家的历史经验中学习借鉴,从中得到更多有益的启示。

The Chinese classic Military Science of Sima Rangju told us that although the world is safe, Negligence makes dangers. Even in the age of peace, the construction of strong military force is still the priority of each country. Therefore the national defense education of the young people, who are the most powerful reserve strength, should be enhanced, as one significant part of college education. In some developed countries, taking U.S., Russia and U.K. as example, it has been a long tradition to train the young for military education, the successful experience of which is borrowed by many countries. Among the world powers, China now should perfect the national military education, and draw more beneficial lessons from the historical experience of developed countries in military education.
