The expansion and extension of big data development concept and technology have gradually deepened the development pattern in various fields. Under the background of big data,the publishing form,business process,marketing model and evaluation rules of periodicals have ushered in a new development opportunity period.For journal editors,big data is both an opportunity for reform and a trend of reform. Under the influence of the current concept of big data development,the analysis and reform of journal editorial work has gradually become the top priority for most editorial departments and many editors. This paper analyzes the opportunities and challenges that editors are facing,then tries to search for effective approaches to optimize editing work based on the present situation and development target of editing work in expectation to promote the integration of editing work and big data development,satisfy the need for market-oriented operation of editing work.
