摘要
香港作家西西在她的长篇小说《飞毡》中,以家族史带出了一个城市与普通平民生活的发展变迁史,并构建了一个喜剧性的世界。这种喜剧性的达成,一方面依凭隐匿于"飞翔"意象之后的道家哲学;一方面也与作者"创造"与想象城市和市民的努力不可分割,历史的碎片与细节的生趣,向读者展示的是"我城"与"我民"的轻盈、美好性格。此外,"讲故事"的写作方式,使叙事者从历史的漩涡中抽身隐退,成为一个旁观的、超脱的喜剧家;而小说特意将女性定为讲故事的人,也同时彰显出其与男性叙事的殊异。
The Hong Kong writer Xi Xi, in her novel Flying Carpet: A Tale of Fertillia, paints a picture of historical vicissitude in terms of both common people and the city, by mainly delineating a family's history. Xi Xi constructs a"comic" world in the novel. The word"comic"used here points to three kinds of meanings. First of all, Taoist philosophy and aesthetics a traditional comic lifestyle-is conveyed by displaying a bunch of"flight"images in the novel. Second, the historical fragments and delicate details not only reveal to readers a lithe and decent nature or character of"the city"as well as"the citizens", but are inextricably associated with the writer's consciousness of constructing city identity. Moreover, by drawing on the story-telling way as her narrative style, Xi Xi as the narrator refrain herself from the historical swirls and forces to become a detached observer and comedian.
