The Similarities and Differences of Hexi Baojuan and Liangzhou Xianxiao

河西宝卷与凉州贤孝都是流传在河西走廊的一种说唱结合、散韵相间的民间口头说唱文学,它们在历史源流、题材渊源、演唱仪式、教化功能等方面与敦煌变文之间都有着不可分割的渊源关系,既继承了敦煌变文的说唱传统,又承载了各自不同的文化品格,在传承中变异,创造中发展,进而演变成两种同源异形的说唱文学样式。

Hexi Baojuan and Liangzhou Xianxiao are a kind of folk rap and literature which is spread in the Hexi Corridor. They have inseperable relations with Dunhuang Bianwen in the aspects of historical origins, themes, singing rites, educational function and so on, which not only inherit the rap tradition of Dunhuang Bian- wen, but also carry their own different cultural characters. They vary while inheriting, develop in creation, and then evolve into two homologous rap literary style.
