Several distinctive female characters are portrayed in Blooming as A Peony and as green horns in the new era,these female characters are scattered groups on the edge of other countries,disclosing their distinctive female consciousness in the blending of the two cultures,revealing the universal absence of love in the life of the women who live in a foreign land,implying the author＇s experience of solitude as the essence of human existence.The paper focuses on multi cultural context of the characters in the book such as the original context,context of the others,the author＇s individual context,analyzes the conflict between spirit and flesh,cultural root and heterogeneous attributes in the female consciousness of Blooming as A Peony,and then discusses the problem of identity in the consciousness of new immigrant women.
