Role of Cultural Factors in Translation Teaching

随着全球联系的日益紧密化以及我国国际地位的不断提升,培养能够熟练运用外语进行对外交流的翻译人员已成为新形势下对英语翻译教学的基本要求。世界民族文化的多样性决定着翻译并不是从一到一的简单搬运过程,如何平衡不同民族间的宗教、风俗、历史人文等文化因素是翻译教学中必须予以重视的环节。因此,作为一种连通不同语言间的交互手段,文化因素在翻译教学中起着至关重要的作用。

The world is more connected every day in every way,and China has seen a steady rise in its national strength and international standing. So it has become a basic requirement for English translation teaching to train qualified personnel for foreign exchange under the new situation. The diversity of ethnic cultures in the world determines that it is not a simple‘word to word＇translation work,but a mutual exchange of cultural factors such as religion,customs,history and humanism of different nations. As a means of communication between different languages,cultural factors play a vital role in translation teaching. Therefore,cultural factors should be paid more attention in translation teaching.
