摘要
交通标志语的英译在跨文化交际中起着举足轻重的作用。文章基于信息结构理论,以南宁交通标志语英译存在不规范、用词不当、专名和通名不分、不符合英美文化习惯等问题,探讨其翻译标准及英译策略,为21世纪"一带一路"的共建和发展服务。
The C-E Translation of traffic signs plays an important role in the intercultural communication. From the perspective of the Information Structure, the author finds that some problems exist： mistranslation of traffic signs, misuse of words, mixed proper names and common names, non-idiomatic expressions. Based on the analysis of the English translation of traffic signs in Nanning city, the author discusses the translation criteria and strategies of traffic signs, in the hope of contributing to the construction and development of the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21 st century Maritime Silk Road.
