This article mainly tells the application of electronic water pump （EWP） in a range extender program. It introduees the selection and layout of electronic pump, and does some tests ahout shortening the warm-up time, reducing the friction loss and controlling the coolant temperature. Through the comparison and analysis of the test data, the contribution of electronic pump for reducing fuel consumption is verified.
