汉语词典中外语字母词收录规范研究——以《现代汉语词典》(第6版)为例

外语字母词的入典问题一直备受争议,这实际上是词典究竟属"语言立法者还是记录者"本质属性争论的体现。本文从描写和规范主义的词典本体研究着手,以《现代汉语词典》(第6版)为例,探讨字母词的收录及其对汉语语言文化的影响。研究认为,词典收词应该反映语言生态和社会实践,在语言描写和约定俗成的基础上进行语言规范,实现词典基本功能。动态规范观下的字母词入典既不会破坏汉语纯洁性,也不会危及中华文化的安全,相反可以促进现代汉语的健康和谐发展。

Entry-collection in the dictionary reflects, and also is restricted to, language life and social practice. Modern dictionaries often regulate language after describing it. Based on language ecology and the conventional principle, Modern Chinese Dictionary （Sixth Edition） strictly screens and prudently collects some popular and steady alphabetic words in the society for the purpose of promoting their normative usage and achieving dictionary functions. Alphabetic word collection in the dictionary in terms of dynamic normative principle neither undermines the purity of language nor endangers the safety of Chinese language and culture. On the contrary, it embodies the confidence and openness of modern Chinese, and is beneficial to Chinese language＇ s healthy and harmonious development.
