The Analysis on the Ruined Architecture of British Consulate in the North Bank of Ningbo

宁波江北区老外滩地处宁波市中心,是目前国内仅存的几个拥有百年历史的外滩之一。坐落在其间的老建筑,拥有丰富多彩的西式与中西结合的建筑风格。文章通过对其代表性建筑——英国领事馆的研究,剖析结合了宁波外滩特定的区域因素之后的殖民地式的建筑风格及其特点,并分析其所反映的中西建筑文化的交融途径。

The Old Bund of Ningbo in Jiangbei District,located in the center of city, is one of several bunds currently existing in China which possess a history for more than a hundred years .The archaic buildings located there share a colorful combination of Western and Chinese architectural styles. This paper, through the study of its representative buildings - British consulate, analyzes the architectural styles and its characteristics of the colonial styles after combining the Ningbo regional characteristics of the Bund, and discloses the convergence of Chinese and Western culture in terms of architecture.
