Constitution is the basic law of a country. South Korea as the first country who writes the system of national standards into the constitution has a special historical background. Normally, the development of technology is much related to standardization, but the main reason for the system of national standards written into the constitution of South Korea is due to the deep contradiction between advanced industrial level and backward industrial system. This article will present the historical background and impact of Korean standard system written into the constitution and give a brief introduction of its referential value to the standardization work in China.
