Formation and operating process of VOD ladle refining furnace were briefly introduced. The problems encountered in slagging out from ladle were analyzed. Based on the analysis results, the ladle tilter for slagging out from VOD furnace was designed and manufactured. This device had been gone into operation, securing good result, and attaining the requirements up to which it was designed to come.
