Peer review comments are valuable data and base for manuscript quality control and handling by the editors. To effectively utilize the peer review comments during manuscript handling, this paper summarized types of peer review comments and analyzed the typical comments with actual examples. At last, considerations and experiences were put forward on the effective utilization of peer review comments.
