Analysis on the Lyrics of Sayerhe under the Oral Formula Theory

"撒叶儿嗬"是鄂西地区土家人民用歌舞形式来吊唁亡人的一种祭祀方式。其唱词具有多样性,虽然对其唱词的研究在学界不乏成果,但是运用口头程式理论对"撒叶儿嗬"的唱词从语句的程式、表达的主题、典型场景三个方面着手研究,发掘其中深层意义的研究较少,而对其意义的发掘可对土家族地区的独特文化有更加深刻的了解与认识,从而对其传承与保护也可提供思路。

Sayerhe is a way of worshiping the dead with songs and dances of Tujia ethnic minority in Western Hubei Province. The lyrics of Sayerhe are diversity. There are fruitful academic achievements in the study of the lyrics, but there are rare researches under theoral formula theory on the lyrics of Sayerhe through syntax, themes and typical scenes, neither the ones to explore the deep meaning. However, through the deep exploration of Sayerhe, we could understand the unique culture of Tujia ethnic minority and provide better inheritance and protection.
