Banking industry to return to its original purpose： Issues and countermeasures

现阶段，银行业脱离实体经济需求、过度金融化的问题日益引起社会的广泛关注，对此，李克强总理在政府工作报告中明确提出，金融业要突出主业、下沉重心，增强服务实体经济能力，防止脱实向虚。文章分析了金融回归本源的本质特征，深入探讨了银行业偏离本源的阻碍因素，提出了银行业回归本源的主要战略思路。

Currently, the separation of banking industry from the demand of the real economy and the excessive financialization issue have caused wide social concern. In this respect, Premier Li Keqiang pointed out clearly inthe Government Work Report that the financial industry should focus on its main business, and concentrate onenhancing the ability to better serve the real economy, preventing the industry departing from the real economy while turning to the virtual economy. This paper analyzes the essences of the return to the original purpose of the financial industry, probes into the obstacles that cause the industry departing from the original purpose, and puts forward fundamental strategic thoughts for the banking industry to return to its original purpose.
