Chamisso's poem cycle, Schumann's Frauenliebe songs, Ruth Solie's account and Rosand's analysis of operas construct 1900's gender ideology through formal property in text. Illustrating the content and formal property of the gender ideology in text through the textual meaning of creation, Hayden White hold that the ideology is not the linguistic references, but the semitic references.
