The Zhichang Yi variety is spoken in the intersection between Wusa Yi variety areas and Shuixi Yi variety areas, and has frequent contact with local Mandarin in the nearby town; thus it is unique in some aspects. This article gives a sketchy description of the variety,concerning the major features of the phonetics, phonology, morphology,and syntax.
