《<玉台新咏>序》中"丽人"一词究竟何指,一直是学界聚讼不休的话题。本文认为《玉台新咏》为徐陵在梁代遭劾免官不久后所编,徐陵在《<玉台新咏>序》中借"丽人"之口表达了其免官的愤懑与不满,"丽人"是指以徐陵为首的编书团体。

What does the word ＂li ren＂ （beauties） means in the preface of New Songs from the Jade Ter- race has been a controversial issue for long time. This thesis points out that Xu Ling began to compile New Songs from the Jade Terrace after being impeached in the Liang Dynasty. He expressed his resentful feeling in the name ＂li ren＂ in the preface of this book. It refers to the team led by him to compile the book, rather than referring to one or several maids in the imperial palace.
