This paper discusses the cause of the compiling of The Letters between the Two Places, the collection of the communications between Lu Xun and Xu Guangping, and the tortuous process of its publication, as well as the reason of some revision during the process of editing. This book reveals the true temperament of the authors and dem- onstrates the other sides of Lu Xun which is unknown by people.
