In ＂Red Rose and White Rose＂, Eileen Chang tells the love story of Tong Zhenbao, Wang Jiaorui and Meng Yanli. On one hand, in this story she continues her thought about the women living circumstances in the patriarchal society and declares the end of female myth of love ; on the other hand, she implicitly prophesies her future marriage tragedy.
