Lin Kunfan:Localization Crucial to Cultural Creative Brands

摘要 “没有创意的生活,就像一杯白开水,索然无味。”这句话用来解释文创产业为什么会存在再恰当不过。就像同样是喝茶,用一次性纸杯和紫砂壶感觉截然不同。文创,就是用创意将文化融进生活,让生活摆脱“一杯白水”的乏味。 In recent years, cultural and creative products have gradually raised the quality of life, which forms a bridge between the public and art, creates a new industry and promotes cities' economic development. At present, a growing number of people have devoted themselves to the research and development of cultural and creative products, creating products full of attitude and temperature. Concerning the core concept, the condition of the current market and the future development of cultural and creative products, Lin Kunfan, director of Cultural and Creative Research Center at Chung Yuan Christian University answered the questions we asked. Professor Lin Kunfan is an influential and experienced insider of the cultural and creativesector. Graduated with his doctor degree from Nihon University, he returned to Taiwan when it had launched a strategy for cultural and creative development. He sensed the currents and rode the waves, and gained fame very fast. Lin Kunfan initiated the establishment of Cultural and Creative Research Center at Chung Yuan Christian University in 2008. Focusing on teaching and the R&D of cultural creative products, he promoted crossStraits exchanges of the cultural and creative industry in cooperation with governments and enterprises. Lin presided over 11 research projects, directed and carried out over 30 projects related to production-educationresearch and design. Under his guidance, cultural and creative products made by the design team have win IF and Red Dot Design Awards for six times.
