西部地区是我国少数民族的主要聚集区，大部分的少数民族群众都信仰宗教。宗教作为一种历史久远的社会文化历史现象，对西部地区各民族的心理素质、生活习俗、文化特征有着深刻的影响。分析梳理有关西部地区宗教信仰的相关文献资料，从中提炼出带有根本性、共同性、长期性、典型性的问题，为促进西部地区社会稳定发展、民族团结和谐提供研究借鉴。

The western region is the main gathering area of the minority nationalities in China, most of the minorities believe in religion. As a social and cultural phenomenon with a long history, religion has a profound influene on the psychological quality, life customs and cultural characteristics of the minority nationalities in the western region. Analyzes the relevant literature about religious belief in the western region, extracts the fundamentality mutuality,chronocity and representativeness of the problems,and provides a reference for the social stability development and national solidarity harmonious of western region.
