正确处理作品中的文化差异,既能实现英语文学作品原有文化底蕴的良好传播,又能最大限度地迎合我国读者阅读习惯,成为英语文学作品优质翻译亟待解决的问题。笔者从相关概念的界定及内涵综述入手,对英语文学翻译中对文化差异正确处理的重要性进行论述,对文化差异的类别及处理方式进行概述,并提出翻译过程中针对文化差异可采取的具体策略。

Correctly handling cultural differences has become the problem to be urgently solved for the excellent translation of English literature, because it can realize the good communication of the original cultural deposits in English literature, and can cater to Chinese readers＇ reading habits to the maximum. The paper, starting with reviewing the definition and connotation of relevant concepts, discusses the importance of correctly handling cultural differences in English literature translation, states the category and treatment of cultural differences, and puts forward specific strategies in view of the cultural differences in the translation process.
