Practice and Implications on Off-campus Readers Services of Australian University Libraries

随着终身学习时代的到来,社会人员对于知识的渴求愈发强烈,高校图书馆为社会读者提供服务也逐渐成为社会关注的焦点。本文采用网络调查法收集、整理和分析澳洲8所知名高校图书馆社会读者服务情况及特点,为我国高校图书馆开展此项服务提供启示,包括转变思维观念,逐步适度开放,完善规章制度,加强对外宣传,重视校友服务,积极寻求合力,以期更好为社会读者开展服务。

With the advent of lifelong learning, the yearning for knowledge by off - campus readers is in-creasing. University libraries provide services for off - campus readers,which is becoming a focus gradually. With an online survey, the paper collects, summarizes and analyzes the services information and characteristics for off - cam-pus readers of the eight famous Australian university libraries in order to provide implications for the university library in China, which includes providing better services to off - campus readers in China, proposing change concept, provi-ding service properly, improving the open system, strengthening publicity, paying attention to alumni services, and exploring join forces.
