美国弗吉尼亚联邦大学社会服务的制度化

摘要 美国社会服务运动兴起30年来,越来越多的美国高校将社会服务作为学校使命之一,也有越来越多的教师从事与当地社区有关的研究、教学和服务工作。然而,"社会服务"在教师晋升和任职政策中的缺位,教师的社会服务成果得不到认可,使这一使命难于成为现实。弗吉尼亚联邦大学历时四年对教师晋升和任职政策进行修订,将"社会服务"纳入教师晋升和任职的一般标准,使"社会服务"成为学校制度文化的重要组成部分。 In the 30 years since the rise of the American social service movement, more andmore American colleges and universities have taken social services as one of the school missions,and there are also more and more teachers engaged in research, teaching and service work re-lated to local communities. However, the results of teachers' social service cannot be recognizedin teachers’promotion and employment, which makes this mission difficult to becomea reality.Virginia Federal University has revised teachers’promotion and employment policy, and includedsocial service in the general standards of teachers’promotion and employment, thus made socialservice as an important part of the school system culture.
